"I remember when the lockdown first ended, whispers and rumours about a town in Alaska that doesn't exist, strange happenings, and otherworldy beings floating in the sky. I remember the news reports, the crazy conspiracy theories. The emergency broadcast that some claimed happened but none could remember. I remember when the news stopped reporting, the experts started denying, and the people who remembered the broadcasts disappeared. I remember when we all forgot and moved onto more important things like who won last week's game and what the new craze in the stock markets was.

It was over, and suddenly, it was gone. But thing is, it isn't gone. It's all still there, the people aren't gone and the perimeter grows every day. The people, or what's left of them are still there, faded like an old tape, flickering in an out of reality, in an endless loop living out that fateful day for an eternity. As more of those - those things seep through the cracks. There's no one alive there anymore just the empty hollow memories of those once who lived there, ruled by the spirits of the past and those from beyond. Nothing dies there, just becomes trapped, becomes a part of it. Dragging more in as it grows.

It used to be a place of life and joy but now it quite literally is a ghost town."
